Fantasy and Reality

When I saw this lady waiting for a bus, I couldn't but get out of the cab and walk back to take this picture.
The Little Mermaid paid a heavy price to become human. Wonder if the Bollywood superstar in mermaid garb realises that at some level, because of which she is reaching out to touch the real women?

That is a fabulous picture - and what a contrast between the real woman with so much character in her face and the rather false one in the poster.

@ Fiona - thank you. And yes, while it was the contrast in colours that first caught my eye, when I came back to actually take the photograph, the only thing I noticed was how much character was on her face. It is obvious that she's had a hard life, but it is equally obvious that she has lived every one of her years.

I love all the contrast... colors, realities, expressions. You have such a great eye, Natasha. It's funny, too... the expressions are really only different at the eyes, but it makes SO MUCH difference.

@ Tami - thank you. Joris wanted some photographs, which is why I happened to have my camera with me! And yes, the difference is all in the eyes. The eyes that have seen, and the eyes that have been seen.

@ Vered - means a lot coming from you. Thank you.
