“I see myself holding a pair of thick, woolen socks”, said
Professor Dumbledore, when asked what he saw in the Mirror of Erised, sparking
off kilobytes of speculation on what socks could actually symbolize.
Till the last book, one waited, but socks didn’t really do
too much apart from freeing Dobby, the house elf.
But even if they didn’t end up playing as important a part
in the Harry Potter series as one hoped, one has to admit Dubledore was right-
there is something infinitely comforting about pulling on a pair of old, stripy
socks, and re-reading a favourite book.

I love those socks, Natasha! They're wonderful! And they really do look incredibly comfortable.
