Homeless Snail

The other day, my son found a slug and insisted he wanted to take it home with him. I tied telling him how they would destroy all our plants, but he refused to budge.
“The poor snail is homeless”, he said. “We have to take care of it.”
A little bit of prodding revealed that he thought the slug was actually a snail that had lost its shell.
Once I found out, it was easy enough to talk him out of his charitable venture.

Homeless snails! What next?

This little story says a lot of nice things about your son. Like loving, compassionate, and tenderhearted. A great way to start life...as we probably all know, losing these wonderful attributes is easy. SO, nurture, nurture, nurture. He's sure on the right track to start. Maybe put up a photo of him???

Best Regards, Galen

Yes, Galen, all those words describe my son. He's just short of his sixth birthday now, and I just hope the world doesn't knock the compassion out of him.
