Is it his fault?

All of three years old, he knew every single bird on Angry Birds. Their names, what they did, and even at what level they appeared. He could demolish the piggies with one swish of his index finger, but he struggled to throw a ball, much less catch it. When a butterfly fluttered near him, he couldn’t be bothered to look up- it was just something that interfered with his game.
The world, for him, revolved around the i-pad, nothing existed beyond that.
It is easy to berate the child. But is his addiction his fault, or that of his parents?

Obsession...even strikes the young! Sad really...he should be outside..playing..in the sun and fresh air.
So I blame his parents for using this electronic babysitter.

Natasha - Interesting question! I wonder what is going on with the parents that they allow this to happen.

I wonder about this for myself sometimes. My children have tablets, laptops, desktops, video game systems, video games and so on. Am I doing a disservice to them because I allow them to use these items? I don't know. I don't let them use the television and video game systems during the week but I can't restrict them from using their computers for school work. What is a mom to do?

Great and insightful drabble by the way! :)
