We both had a good laugh and forgot all about it. But another friend, who overheard the conversation, was quite upset with the whole incident. How dare I be ragged for something that was not even my fault, she ranted, and till better sense prevailed, I almost agreed.
Why can't people learn to laugh at themselves? And laugh with others when they are doing the same? Wouldn't the world be a much better place if they did?

Can't take ourselves too seriously!
Absolutely! I often put my foot in my mouth too... Laughter is what makes the bad times bearable!
Natasha - I couldn't agree with you more! People do tend to take themselves so very seriously, don't they? After all, no-one is perfect - why pretend we ought to be? I'm always much more comfortable, anyway, around people who are relaxed about themselves...
My husband says, "The difference between a good day and a bad day is attitude."
Laughter is a part of the good attitude. :) Even when we make ourselves the butt of the joke :)
The days would be dull and long without laughter - it's a rare day when I don't get a good chance to laugh at myself. :)
Laughter...the best of all medicines!! And laughing at yourself is priceless!!

I try to laugh at myself several times a day...although I laugh at other people too, since we are all funny at some point. I am an equal oppotunity laugher!
