"I always knew Santa Claus", boasted the (almost) five year old.
"Who? Tell me!", challenged the older one
"He's the guy who has a long beard and gives presents."
"Yes, but do you know who he is?"
"I just told you. He is the guy who gives presents at Christmas."
"See, you don't know", gloated the older one.
"Okay, then you tell me."
"Santa Claus is the father of Virgin Mary. Which makes his Jesus' Grandfather!"
Given the way Christmas is going, he might just be right.

Rayna - Out of the mouths of babes... :-). Your sons are so imaginative and creative! Thanks for sharing this exchange. I love it!
LMAO. Leave it to the kids to think of that! Over the years, I've heard some doozies from my boys. Now I wish I'd written them down...
Sounds like they took all the pieces and put them together into something that made sense to them. Very creative.
Jesus's grandfather - who knew?
Hahahahaha! That makes a lot of sense!
That's great!
I always wondered how he fit in. Who knew?
That's AWESOME!
Terrific- kids say the darndest things. (Wish I'd have thought of that show first. I'd have been a millionaire.)
