On Urgent
If you allow it, one word ends up ruling your life- Urgent.
Everything is urgent. The water in the pan is boiling, you need to throw in the vegetables. But the phone is ringing, and try as you will, it is hard to ignore it. The kids are fighting, and if you don't separate them NOW they are likely to get hurt. And a professional deadline threatens to engulf you.
When everything is urgent, it is impossible to prioritize. Experience has shown me that there is only one thing to do. Drop everything and savour a steaming cup of tea.

So true :) Urgency can dominate our lives until we decide not to let it.
Natasha - You are so right! Things are only urgent, really, if we allow them to be urgent. It's much healthier not to let one's nerves get in an uproar about things that, in the long run, might not be important...
Haha. Two thumbs up! Mine would be a cup of coffee though.

Wise words indeed!
Tea is the perfect antidote to urgency. I agree totally.
I'm with you on this one!
your post was stressing me out until... ahhh.... tea time. I love it. I've got to cultivate a taste for tea. <3 :o)
I know, I know. Sometimes there's just too much going on isn't there. Time rushes onward and sometimes it's difficult to keep up. But sometimes we need to enjoy the now. Some times.
Hope you join us in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge Reflections Mega Post on Monday May 2nd.

Ahh yes, a cup of tea the salve for all things urgent.
And in the end, it's all hurry up and wait!
My two cents: I used to be mad about deadlines, and still keep to commitments. But I realised world doesn't come to an end. Have tried to stop feeling rushed...sometimes...
