Strawberry fields forever

I've grown up on strawberry jam, and have had boxes of strawberries thrust at me at traffic lights. But these were the first strawberries I ever ate as whole fruits (well, I didn't eat too many of them - the kids did the honours).
And, I wonder why I never really bought them before!
