Vegetable sandwiches

At a prominent bakery franchise –

“Do you stock sandwiches.”
“Yes.”
“Which ones?”
The sales assistant pointed to a part of the glass topped counter that was opaque due to condensation. The unlabelled sandwiches gave me no clue about their contents.

“Do you have a menu?”

“Could you tell me what the Simply Veg Sandwich has?”
“Vegetables!”
“I thought so. But which vegetables?”
“Vegetables!”
“You mean vegetables like brinjals and ladyfingers?”
“Yes!”

Thankfully, when I bit into it, the sandwich had something that tasted more like capsicums and tomatoes.
