Weekly Spotlight: Patricia Stoltey

When Wednesday rolls around, I get to say thanks all over again for being able to meet such wonderful people in blogverse.

Today, I get to turn the Spotlight on-

Patricia Stoltey was one of the first friends I made in bloggiverse. She was big, I was puny, and I was thrilled when she gave me my first blog award. But that's the kind of person Patricia is- however busy she may be, she always has time for everyone.

When she is not promoting other writers, or teaching us how to do cool stuff with our blogs, Patricia is over at Blood Red Pencil sharing writing tips with everyone. And she finds time to take and post some of the most amazing photographs ever.

What are you waiting for? Visit.

Rayna - Oh, what a wonderful choice for your spotlight!!! Patricia's blog is one of my must-stops every day, for the reasons you've outlined, as well as the fact that, well, she's a wonderful person. Folks, if you don't follow Patricia's blog, please give it a try!

Patricia is a wonderful choice for your spotlight. I enjoy dropping by her site (even though I don't always comment). She always has an informative and entertaining post.

Aw, shucks, ladies...(Fluttering eyelashes and trying to look bashful). :)

Rayna, thanks so much for this honor and for the sweet words. I enjoy this blog and your photos of Bombay blog so much that I feel you're the one who deserves the attention, but I'm tickled pink to be in this week's spotlight.

(Does "tickled pink" even make sense outside the U.S.?)

I've always admired Patricia. We shall meet one day. Somehow, I just have this feeling. Maybe the dinner stage, I was talking about, and you have to fly out too. Wouldn't that be fun to organize a get-together somewhere and invite followers to come.

Her blog looks fantastic! Very put-together. :) I really like her profile picture-she looks nice, but professional. I'm impressed.

@ Laura - She is such a wonderful person, it is hard not to come up with a nice drabble to describe her.

@ Margot - I am so glad you think the way I do. Patricia's blog is one of the few that I try to visit even if I don't visit any other. Yours is another, but I am sure you already knew that.

@ Mason - I am guilty of the same thing, Mason. I rarely leave a comment, though I always find something to mull about.

@ Patricia - those fluttering eyelashes don't really go too well with that rather severe profile pic- you need to get a more real one thre soon.
And I grew up using 'tickled pink' - never even realised it was an Americanism. But then my father did spend several years in Colorado, so that may be where he picked it up.
And you are one person who definitely deserves the spotlight turned on her. Not just on my blog, but everywhere.

@ Holly - Patricia's is one of the sites you will never tire of- she always has something for you, and then she surprises you with more.

@ Alex - she is, isn't she?

@ Mary - she is.

@ Sonia - I remember getting to your site through her's. She's really good at getting people together. Maybe we should ask her to organise the dinner party.

@ Oddyoddyo13 - don't let that picture fool you, though. It is an old snap and in the newer ones, she looks as gently approachable as she is.

Aha! Rayna, I just came over to eavesdrop and see someone has spilled the beans about my "old" photo.

The photo I've been using is a little more than two years old, but I've grown my hair out and wear my glasses all the time, so I do look very different now (and schoolmarmish, I think). I guess it's time to put up a new picture.

And now I see I'm to organize a big dinner party. It definitely doesn't pay to leave the room. :)

Thanks again, Rayna. You're a sweetheart.

Natasha said...

@ Jemi- she is, isn't she?

@slommler- she is great.

@ Patricia- so you are the exception to the rule of what eavesdropers hear and and not hear. But nobody would say anything not nice about you, ever.
And while I like the current profile photograph, I think your new look describes you better.

Rayna,
Thanks for highlighting such a wonderful person and author. I have the privilege of seeing Pat frequently through Northern Colorado Writers and she is just as sweet, helpful and encouraging in person as she is online.

@ Kerrie- aren't you lucky to know Pat in person. I am sure she is the same in real life as she is online.
