Then technology advanced. It became easy to determine the sex of an unborn child. Female foeticide took over. There are laws to curb it, but when did anyone ever care for what the legal system demands?
But for those who mistakenly believe they are carrying a male child, and would rather not get rid of the female child, there is now a new solution. Sex change operations. So what if they will never produce spermatozoids, the children are now male!

How can we have a world full of life with no females? We can produce bodies but thebeauty and the energy will not be there.
I read that article yesterday and it made me sick. My roommate really IS transgender (M to F though) and trying to get inside and outside to "match" is hard enough - and these people are screwing with that balance on PURPOSE??? Sick sick sick sick and who the hell do they think all their sons are going to marry anyway? 'Cause last time I checked they weren't too keen on gay couples either. :-P
I will never understand this attitude. No little girls means no more little boys. China has discovered this as the first generation of the 'one child' directive are looking to marry and girls are few and far between. There's a delicious irony that these girls can now control the future of the country.
Natasha - How very tragic! I simply do not understand how society can possibly be served by manipulating sex like that. How gut-wrenchingly heartbreaking. And I'd like to put in a word of agreement with ViolaNut. I know some transgender people, too, and they do, indeed, go through a hard enough time with a process they willingly chose. Why would anyone force someone to go through it?

My word - that's horrific. To change someone's entire self without permission or knowledge is beyond barbaric.
