“I just don’t have the time!!!” How often have I heard others
say it, and responded with a “if you really want to do something, you can make
time for it.”
But you know, you can’t. There are only so many hours in a
day, and you need many of them for sleep and other activities needed to survive.
At some stage, you do run out of time. To add something new, you have to take something
else away. Unless you do what you do without passion.
I wish I could, but I just don’t have the time to write.

A drabble is a story told in exactly 100 words.

When real life hit, I gave up most things I like doing - playing the guitar and the harp, drawing, painting, hiking. I would never give up writing. I get up an hour early every day just to write. Some days I give up my lunc hbreak for writing, too. (BF and friends help me do this, they know my sanity and their lives depend on my writing time. ^^ )
You've expressed the problem faced by me and so many other people. I think we all take on too much in our lives and added to that are all the daily distractions that face us. Keeping up with everything is futile. I need to prioritize, but like you say, a sacrifice has to be made somewhere along the line.

Time is a constraint to us all!!
We need more of it in the day!!

That's too bad, Rayna! It (the time and the writing) will come back ... when it's time ;)
Good luck! xo Barbara
Sometimes we can only fit in one thing we are passionate about with the few extra minutes we have each day. I've never heard of a drabble. Interesting that flash fiction is getting smaller and smaller.

I know that it is impossible to fit everything into a busy schedule so one of the things I am trying to learn is to leave my blog and my blog friends alone some days - to buy some time to write fiction.
