Everyone should have a friend like
Ronnie. When I am upset, she lets me cry on her shoulder. When I want to play
with her, she plays with me. But when I am preoccupied with something else, she
doesn’t clamour for attention. When I am sick, she rarely leaves my bedside,
but she doesn’t expect me to do the same for her.
Ronnie is the best friend anyone could hope to have. So what
if she started her life as a stuffed toy? My love for her may have rubbed her
fur off, but it has also made her Real.

A Drabble is a story told in exactly 100 words.
I have a soft toy called Cyril the Squirrel, not the most usual of soft toys but I adore him.

Awwwww everyone has a Ronnie of their very own I think....and if they don't then that is such a shame!
ReplyDeleteNatasha - Everybody needs a 'Ronnie.' I'm glad you have one. Life is so uncertain that we need that stability.
ReplyDeleteOh bless Ronnie! I have a Berty bear he has been with me since I can remember. I just popped by to say Hi from a fellow April Challenger. Wishing you well with the rest of your posts Becs

Reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit...yes, stuffed toys can become real:)
ReplyDeleteHello, Natasha... I enjoyed the little rabbit story. I have a Beanie Baby that is named for me (Ruby) and she wears a purple hat, like me. A good friend gave her to me when I moved away a few years ago. She sits on a display shelf in my living room. Best regards to you. Ruby
ReplyDeleteOOPs, she is a bear, isn't she? Sorry... I took another look at the picture just before I left. Ruby.
