If I had the year over, would I have done things
differently? Would I have put my foot down earlier and more firmly? Suffered fools
a lot less? Would I have spent less time with that person who proved a false
friend, and been more sympathetic to the one who genuinely needed me?
Would I have
abstained from ordering that takeaway that gave all of us an upset stomach?
With the benefit of hindsight, one can always do things
better. But I wouldn’t really want to change too much; I am happy with the way
things turned out this year.

We can't change it anyway, so why worry?
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Rayna!
Haoppy new Year, glad you had a year to be happy with.
ReplyDeleteYou have achieved when you say you are happy with how things transpired or how you dealt with them. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteI change the things I wish I could change when I write! Plenty of fodder for it!!!
Have a wonderful New Year!
We can't change what is, but there's a morning tea I would gladly never have come into contact with!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful new year, and enjoy celebrating your achievements.
Natasha - I'm so glad you don't have a lot to regret. Maybe we all would do some things differently; I know I would. But in the end, we do the best we can with what happens. I love your attitude!
ReplyDeleteSame here!! Have a wonderful celebration
