On Some Ses

[Tami, Mari, Tara and I decided to do it again. We each contributed an S-word (soup, slag, slug, sophisticated), and I threw in Leanne's 'shell' for good measure. Enjoy!!!]

"My shell, my shell", muttered the slug, as she skidded up the slag-heap. "Where could my shell have gone?"

"You and your shells", her sister sneered. "If you think wearing that shell makes you look like a sophisticated ingénue, you are mistaken. You just look like a stupid snail."

"That's not the point. If I really want a hat, I can use a soup-bowl", said the slug. "The point is that we had a lovely sandy beach here, which everyone loved. Did those humans have to destroy it all by putting up a smelter and pouring slag into the river?"
