Her customer had paid her in advance. She only came a few times a year; however satisfied, it was unlikely her customer would ever remember her enough to come back to her. She could have done a bad job and gotten away with it. But she gave it her all.
For her, applying henna was not just a way to earn some extra money. It was her passion.
Passion makes everything worthwhile.

Rayna - Such a vivid description of passion! The most truly alive people I know are that way because they are passionate about their lives. They put themselves into those lives, and they are the ones, in my opinion, who also get the most out of those lives. And we all benefit from that...

That kind of focus and passion is what makes the time zoom by when we write, paint watercolors, or even bake holiday cookies. We live in that present and enjoy every second of it.

I’ve tried writing Haiku but never drabble. I love this concept and I love your drabbles. What I particularly enjoyed about Passion was that it allowed me, just for the moment, to enter a world that is so very different from my own.
